The Antedeans are an ichthyoid race, living in the wide oceans of their nearly landless planet. They are obdurate and uncompromising to the point of being fierce, but their level of technology is surprising, considering their lim-ited resources and barely amphibious lifestyle. Although the Antedeans are capable of space-travel they find it disorienting and extremely unpleasant, and prefer to remain on their homeworld.

The Antedeans are among the most unusual aliens in the galaxy, in terms of their biology. Many of their nutritional needs are unique to their ocean ecology. The Antedean Harvesting Complex produces these nutrients, and reduc-es the need for more conventional farming methods.
