The Nyrians have perfected a devious system of commandeering alien vessels to acquire technology and hard-ware. This is achieved by way of an elaborate hoax they perform, taking advantage of the good nature of unsus-pecting crews of any passing starship. Long-range translocation devices are employed to beam their operatives on board the starship. Initially they claim innocence and ignorance over what is happening, but more and more Nyrians arrive, whilst replacing the original crew, and soon the crew is outnumbered, and before they can act, the ship belongs to the Nyrians. |
