The Denobulans are polygamous, with each Denobulan having three partners that also have two other partners, creating a social network. Although Denobulans seem to be a friendly humanoid race, they were once engaged in a long conflict with a neighbouring race, and much of their economic strength atrophied. The Denobulan mindset abandons many of life's recreational preoccupations that other races take for granted. Medicine is the Denobu-lans' primary area of technological expertise, but they are also very interested in expanding their knowledge of other races, and giving what they themselves have to offer with the exchange of personnel. |
